Final Ornithological and Chiropterological Report
The results of the three-year (2022-2024) post-construction monitoring of birds and bats do not deviate from the pre-construction monitoring results and are standard for this part of the country and an open agricultural landscape.
During the course of the study, the abundance dynamics of passerines during migration decreased, while goose migration was noted during the spring.
Bat activity at the Mława Wind Farm remained at low and medium levels throughout most of the monitoring period. No breeding colonies or significant bat hibernation sites were found within the monitored buffer zone.
Fatality rates generated by the Mława Wind Farm investment should not have a significant impact on local or migrating bird and bat populations. Based on the data collected over three years of post-construction monitoring, there are no grounds to recommend mitigation or impact-reduction measures for the Mława Wind Farm.
